A1 Sealer PLUS Satin

A1 Sealer PLUS is a water-based coating that can be used to protect A1 against weather conditions like UV and moisture. A1 Sealer PLUS is a so-called breathable coating. The surface to be sealed must be free of wax, oil, dirt or dust. Apply with a brush, roller, soft cloth or spray it on.

If A1 Sealer PLUS is applied with a brush, we advise that water equal to 30% of the total volume is added to the product before using. If applying A1 Sealer PLUS with a brush, it must be rubbed in with a dry cloth while it is still damp. Apply a maximum of 3 layers of A1 Sealer to the A1 object as described above. Each layer can be applied one after the other, with a short drying time of just several minutes between the application of each layer. If applying with a soft cloth, 1 layer of A1 Sealer PLUS will create a satin matt finish. A more gloss finish will be achieved if a number of layers are applied. If applied with a brush, 1kg of A1 Sealer PLUS will cover an area of 8 to 10 m2.

If spray applying A1 Sealer PLUS, we advise customers to add up to 50% water to the A1 Sealer PLUS. As the A1 Sealer PLUS atomises, it is not necessary to polish the object afterwards. If spray applying, 1 kg of A1 Sealer PLUS will cover an area of 10 to 12 m2.

Avoid applying thick layers of A1 Sealer PLUS, as this will seal the A1 object. Thinner layers will also avoid the risk of whitening.

We advise customers to have treated surfaces inspected every year and, if necessary, treated with A1 Sealer PLUS again every 6 years. If this advice is followed, the A1 object will have an expected life span of 50 years.

Two types of A1 Sealer PLUS are available: A1 Sealer PLUS Matt, A1 Sealer PLUS Satin and A1 Sealer PLUS Gloss. For the most matt result, we recommend that a layer of A1 Sealer PLUS Gloss is applied first, followed by a layer of A1 Sealer PLUS Matt.

A1 Sealer PLUS has a number of advantages: 1 component, solvent-free, water-based, fast-drying, easy to use, good UV-resistance, excellent adhesion, protection against dirt and effective protection against moisture.
